Reactoo releases new audio controls for live video production in the cloud

New audio controls allow users to have more control over the audio in their productions.

The Reactoo team is excited to announce the release of our new audio controls for live video production in the cloud.

We are continuously innovating and releasing new features that enrich our cloud enabled live production toolset.

Reactoo’s new audio controls provide users with greater control over the audio in their productions. Our new features include:

  • Gain – the amplitude of an audio signal before going through processing. A producer is able to set the gain of a source, the range of which is -40dB to +40dB.
  • Parametric Equalizer (PEQ) – lets the user control three aspects:
    • Frequency bands: a range of frequency bands – low shelf, bell/peak, high shelf
    • Gain: adjust the amplitude, or level of the selected frequency band
    • High Quality Factor (Q): toggles the Q factor of mid frequency from wide (bell) to narrow (peak)
  • Dynamic Range Compression (DRC) – audio signal processing operation that reduces the volume of loud sounds or amplifies quiet sounds, thus reducing or compressing an audio signal’s dynamic range.
  • Delay – audio delay to sync up the video from a camera with an audio input. A user is able to set the delay of a source, the range of which is 0 to 30 seconds.

The audio controls are designed and built for professional audio engineers with aspects of familiarity with traditional mixing desks while also maintaining simplicity in design so that any user can pick up and use the functionality with ease.
